My name is Jaclyn Kane and I guess you want to know why Health & Wellness has become so important in my life? The short answer is that I’m a 9/11 survivor who wound up being diagnosed with a 9/11 cancer in my mid-30’s. Breast cancer to be specific. My cancer was incredibly aggressive, so I underwent chemotherapy, radiation as well as five separate surgeries. During chemotherapy, they also were giving me steroids to “keep my appetite up!” and yes, it certainly kept it up, to a total weight gain of almost 50 pounds… I thought I was supposed to at least lose weight during all this nonsense! Right?! Not so much.

When I finally was cleared and felt well enough to start thinking seriously about what I was going to do about this weight gain, I started to investigate some science-based information about certain diets that would be great for me to follow to lose the weight and continue to stay cancer-free (if possible)! A couple years later, after coaching myself, I decided to get certified as a health coach! As such, I’m currently a Master Certified Health Coach through the Dr. Sears Wellness Institute and am sitting for the National Board of Health and Wellness Coaches (NBHWC) in March of 2023. 


One thing to keep in mind, wellness isn’t just about nutrition and exercising, it’s also about your spirituality and self-care as well. I strive to see people going from surviving to thriving!

What does a health coach do?


What do you want to achieve? Everyone has something they want to achieve whether it’s weight loss, a health goal, a promotion at your job, or (enter your own reason here).


Everyone has the potential to be creative to reach these goals themselves, but most people don’t know where to start! What we do together is define, discover, dream and design your destiny by making small changes along the way. The outcomes experienced by my clients are:
